The Pirate Archway is a landmark located in Gnarled Forest at the Ravine, marking the entrance to the Maelstrom Trench.
When players cross the ravine, the Pirate Archway is normally smashed. It is required for the player to smash it in order to pass, as it blocks the route to the Maelstrom Trench. Optionally, players can use 12 Imagination to Quick Build the archway. When built, it provides players with a shield which protects them from 10 damage for a medium amount of time.

Pre-Alpha Information[]
An early version of the Pirate Archway could be found in the original pre-alpha version of Gnarled Forest. The Pirate Archway has an alternate black and yellow color scheme. It had its own rendering, implying that there was a mission related to the Pirate Archway, although it is unconfirmed what this role may be. Notably, the Pirate Archway was located near a Ninja Detector and a pirate mission giver.
Trivia[]
- On December 19th, 2011, a Mythran named Shival hosted a party for players in Nexus Tower, spawning various NPCs and objects, including a Pre-Alpha Pirate Archway. The Pirate Archway was later respawned in another party held on January 6, 2012.
