Sofia Amalgam is a Gear Vendor NPC who works at the Launch Area in Avant Gardens. She primarily sells consumables, weapons, and shirts, but she will not sell or buy items until the Maelstrom fog blanketing the Launch Area is cleared by defeating the Spider Queen at Block Yard.
Peppy Slapbiscuit wants to impress the ladies, so he asks players to buy him a Handsome Mug. Players must seek out Sofia Amalgam in Avant Gardens, since she is the only vendor who sells Handsome Mugs.

Beta Information
In alpha testing and early beta testing, Sofia Amalgam was unnamed and identified as Merchant Vendor. She wore a light-gray Business Jacket at this time. Her title was later changed to Accessory Vendor. Although she received her name in mid-beta, Sofia kept the title of Accessory Vendor until late beta testing when it was changed to Gear Vendor. Before Brutus Speck was released, Sofia Amalgam's inventory included the Rocket modules and Castle models now sold by the Model Vendor.
